8-line Fib dedication to Dr. Rajkumar

This post is about two very different things, one sad and another interesting.

The sad part: the passing away this week of the legendary Dr. Rajkumar - without doubt, the greatest, universally loved and almost worshipped, Kannada actor and singer. The greatness attributed to him and the people's love for him did not stem from the fact that he was a hugely popular actor. Rather, it was because he was a great human being with a flawless character. He epitomised simplicity and humility.

The interesting part: the "Fib" invitation extended by Gregory K. Picnus on his blog gottabook.blogspot.com. It is about writing 6-line poems, with the number of syllables in each line following the Fibonacci sequence. This is slowly turning into an Internet phenomenon (read the New York Times article Fibonacci Poems Multiply on the Web After Blog's Invitation - subscription required).

The connection: Here is a 8-line Fib in Kannada, dedicated to the memory of Dr. Rajkumar.
